The RIDGID impact wrench was one tool that had me super excited. I personally love to ride in style, but that has come at a cost. My car rides on 20" rims and I have low-profile tires and already this year I've had 3 flat tires. I know bummer!

TESTING THE IMPACT WRENCH
The RIDGID Impact wrench is super comfortable in my hands and the weight of it wasn't bad to handle when changing out the car tire. After holding it for a little while it did feel a little top heavy. I would imagine if you used a 5AH battery, it would balance it out, but that would also increase the weight a little bit. All depends on what you feel comfortable with.
RIDGID's brushless motors offer up to 50% more runtime and longer motor life, which I find very helpful, especially since I plan on keeping this in my car.

FAVORITE FEATURES
Four Modes
The Ridgid Impact Wrench has four modes.The first mode is the auto setting, marked with an A, most likely best used to tighten nuts and bolts. I noticed that the wrench shuts down automatically once the bolt is secure meaning no stripped nuts and bolts. This is a great feature for someone who isn't familiar with performing actions such as changing a tire. Modes 1 and 2 seemed to have a smooth application and I could tell mode three had the real power.
LED light
I also liked the Tri-beam LED lights around the front housing of the Ridgid Impact wrench. After lighting it up in a dark area, it seemed bright enough to light up a dark work area and eliminate shadows.

With any RIDGID tool, the warranty is always a plus. Be sure to register your tool to receive free parts and service for life.
