I am so excited to show you guys this fun DIY project for today! I have partnered with Angela with "Angela Marie Made" to present this DIY Bar Cart she has created.

Doesn't this look amazing?I have definitely added this to my long list of builds and the best thing is, you can make this fun DIY bar cart for just under $50 in lumbe, every DIYers dream.

DIY Bar Cart Plans

Materials List:

(3) 2x2 @ 8ft furring strips
  • (1) 1x2 @ 8ft
  • (1) 1x4 @ 8ft
  • (1) 1x3 @ 8ft
  • (1) 2ft x 2ft @ 3/4" thick pine plywood
  • (4) 2" Casters
  • (2) 3/8" round wood dowel rods @ 4ft
  • 2 1/2" and 1 1/4″ Kreg screws
  • 1 1/4" Brad Nails
  • Wood Glue
  • 2" Wood Screws
  • (2) Cabinet pulls
  • Cut List:

  • (4) 2x2s @ 30.5"

  • (4) 2x2s @ 22.5"

  • (4) 2x2s @ 14"

  • (4) 1x4s @ 24"

  • (2) 1x2s @ 14"

  • (2) 1x2s @ 22.5"

  • (1) plywood sheet @ 24"x15.5"
  •  
  • (2) 1x4s @ 25.5" (45 degree angle)
  •  
  • (2) 1x4s @ 17" (45 degree angle)

  • Tools Used:
    Kreg Jig 
    DEWALT Drill/Driver
    Ryobi Miter Saw with Laser 
    Ryobi Circular Saw 
    Bessey Clamp
    Ryobi Cordless BRAD NAILER

     Step 1:

    Build two frames for the  sides of the bar cart using a Kreg Jig K4 Pocket Hole System on a 1 1/2" setting, with 2 1/2" pocket hole screws to attach.

    Step 2:

    Attach middle frame pieces together using a Kreg Jig K4 Pocket Hole System on a 1 1/2" setting, with 2 1/2" pocket hole screws to attach.

    Step 3:

    Assemble side frame pieces together to create cart frame using a Kreg Jig on a 1 1/2" setting, with 2 1/2" pocket hole screws to attach.

    Assemble the bottom shelf of the bar cart using a Kreg Jig K4 Pocket Hole System on a 3/4" setting, with 1 1/4" pocket hole screws to attach. First assemble the four 1x4s (24") and then attach outer 2x2s.

    Step 5:

    Attach the top tray shelf to the bar cart using 1 1/4" brad nails.

    Step 6:

    Attach sides to the top tray of the bar cart using glue and 1 1/4" brad nails.

    Step 7:

    Attach dowel rods to the bottom of the DIY bar cart frame using wood glue and drilling holes.

    Step 7:

    Attach casters to the bottom of the cart frame and drawer pulls to the top tray.
